ENRIQUE GRANADOS’ PIANISM

My doctoral thesis was the first – and so far only – scientific investigation to reveal a wealth of previously undocumented knowledge about the piano works of Enrique Granados (1867-1916). This Historically Informed Performance (HIP) research is, among other discoveries, the first to document the pianistic technique of Granados as well as proving the validity of his Hupfeld rolls, a piano roll recording system usually discarded by musicologists.  Estrada’s Doctoral Thesis (download)
